In the gospel of today Jesus said, "...but the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you." (John 14:21-26)
Pentecost is next door be ready
Easter days recreate the waiting of the early apostles, their anticipation of the coming of God's Spirit.
I think of the blessings I already enjoy and consider what enrichment God may have in mind for me this Pentecost.
I imagine the Father and the Son deciding to come to me. Why do they do this? What do they think and say about me as they travel? What gifts do they choose for me? What do they find when they arrive?
Divine Love for me is this
I am the focus of a great love. The Spirit of divine love comes to abide in me. Does the Spirit find a warm welcome in me or do I ignore my guest? Am I a good pupil who wants to learn? What is the Spirit teaching me right now in this period of prayer?
May God bless you and yours with the fresh Hope of Easter.
