“Reconciliation, Peace, and Unity”, A Reflection by Simon Mikanipare
Peace of the Lord in South Sudan and to all the beloved people of this nation. I prayed and pondered on the coming of the 3 servants of God to our nation.
The meaning of “THREE”
- Reconciliation, Unity, and Peace
The three servants of God reminded us of Reconciliation, Unity, and Peace which are the words that we need to have at all times in our hearts.
These three main words are the true roots of Christianity and we need to nature those words and irrigate them with the water of love.
- God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit.
This tells us that, the three humble servants of God have come to represent three in one so that we may be one and for one common goal of peace.
- The three kings
When Jesus was born how many kings were led by the star to pay homage to baby Jesus? and here we have three who have come to lead us to permanent peace in our hearts, in our families, in our community, and in our church as well as our nation.
- They are our roof
The three represent the three rooms that the apostle asked Jesus about when he said, Master, permit me to build three rooms here. They are our roof, which has been put on us to cover us from heat, sickness, evils, and all thoughts of negativities.
- The three stones
In our African culture, we use three stones of equal size and placement to support the cooking pot. The three stones need each other, they work together, take away one stone and the pot falls down. The three came to prepare for us a nice meal which is PEACE, our duty now is to eat and embrace that peace to remain in us and make us happy forever, remaining one and united as they are one.
Let us remain in that shadow of oneness as our spiritual leaders have demonstrated for us.
