On October 11, 2024, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kusalla, officially opened a newly constructed Secondary School in Nzara County to nurture future leaders.
Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kusalla established the newly inaugurated St. Daniel Comboni College Nzara (STDCC) with the support of the Comboni missionary sisters.
During his address, Barani Edwardo Hiiboro urged the Nzara community to take care of the school infrastructure and support the teachers for a brighter future. He also delivered a strong message to the students, warning them against exam dishonesty. He stated that any student caught cheating in Catholic institutions would face dismissal, as the Catholic Church does not condone such behavior. They are focused on raising leaders who will lead with integrity and honesty.
In his message shared through WhatsApp, the prelate acknowledged that “for a long time, Nzara County has not had proper Secondary Schools and students who have been completing their primary school in Nzara have been coming to Yambio but sadly enough most of those students never completed because of huge challenges”, he continued “to assist these students we have constructed a new beautiful Secondary School equipped with running water, power, and efficient library”.
This is not the first time Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kusalla has launched development projects in Nzara County. Earlier this year, he laid the foundation for a modern children's hospital at St. Theresa National Hospital.
Congratulations to Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kusalla for his unwavering commitment to serving God and making a positive impact on the community.
