Create a moment of silent and reflect about God’s Goodness in Your Life, Says Bishop Hiiboro
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura-Yambio Rt. Rev. Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala has called on people of Western Equatoria State and South Sudan at large and in a special way the Christian faithful of his Diocese to have a moment of silence when they can reflect on God’s goodness to their lives and be able to appreciate him, especially during this lent session.
Speaking to Anisa FM Radio Barani Hiiboro advised the faithful to dedicate moments of prayers and recollection so that they may discover good things in their lives.
He encouraged the citizens to retreat from the normal ways of life which are usually characterized by noise and celebration and have moments of silence to appreciate God and to think through life just like our Lord Jesus Christ did when He retreated to the desert for 40 days to pray and fast in order to get re-energized and filled with the Holy Spirit to overcome the devil.
He particularly called upon the entire community to stop the culture of playing loud music, especially at night hours as it disturbs the tranquility and peace, which are necessary for good rest.
The Bishop also appealed to telephone users to minimize their ringtone volumes and observe decorum when speaking on phones in public, something that many people take for granted, yet is very important especially in protecting other people’s privacy.
Barani Eduardo Hiiboro made this remark when he was addressing the people of Western Equatoria State via WhatsApp in Curia.
