Fourth Eye Surgical Campaign to Bring Free Eye Care Services to Nzara and Rii Yubu
The Fourth Eye Surgical Campaign, led by the Spanish Eye Team, will offer free eye care services in Nzara and Rii Yubu on February 2025. The Spanish Eye Team aims to provide essential eye health services, including screenings, consultations, treatments, and surgeries, to those in need. The campaign is set to take place at St. Teresa Hospital, Nzara, and Ave Maria Mission, Rii Yubu, ensuring broader access to quality eye care as follows
Saturday, 15 February:
- Free eye screening at Yambio General Hospital from 1 PM
Sunday, 16 February to Thursday, 20 February:
- Consultations, treatments, and operations at St. Teresa Hospital, Nzara
Saturday, 22 February:
- Free eye screening at Ezzo General Hospital from 1 PM
Sunday, 23 February:
- Free eye screening at Tombura General Hospital from 11 AM
Sunday, 25 February to Wednesday, 26 February:
- Consultations, treatments, and operations at Ave Maria Mission, Rii Yubu
Important Information for Patients:
- All treatments and surgeries conducted by the Spanish Eye Team will be free of charge.
- A small fee will be requested to cover health facility and local staff expenses at St. Teresa Hospital; however, this fee may be waived in some cases.
- Patients are responsible for their own transport to and from the nearest health facility.
- At Ave Maria Mission, basic food will be provided to patients undergoing surgery.
