Child Relief Organization Hosts Football Tournament to Boost Sexual Reproductive Health Awareness in Yambio

Girls in Yambio central town have enjoyed a short football tournament organized by a national organization known as “Child Relief and Support Organization”.
The tournament drew four girls’ teams in four Bomas of Yambio Municipality, with the focus to bring to the attention of the girls the importance of behavioral change on sexual reproductive health.
The tournament fell under the theme “Health care workers and communities together for improved quality and accessibility of health care for all”.
Speaking on Friday at the final of the game, the director of Child Relief and Support Organization Mr. Denis said, “We are here to support women and girls in every aspect of their lives. We are in Yambio implementing social behavior change in relation to sexual reproductive health”.
Akorogbodi, Ikpiro, Asanza, and Tii-Mbiro are the four Bomas in Yambio Municipality that took part in the short tournament.
Mr. Denis said his organization the Child Relief and Support Organization majorly deals in sexual reproductive health with the emphasis to increase equitable use of public health services by all members of the communities, to improve interaction and communication between community members and health service providers. Others include mobilizing advocates for health services among the community who can assist health providers in finding solutions to problems in quality care delivery and access.
The sub-chief of the Bakindo residential area of Yambio County and other health officers attended the tournament.
