CODEP has Launched a Two days Community Peace Building and Reconciliation Workshop in Tambura County, Western Equatoria State

More than 40 participants are attending two days’ workshop in Tambura County of Western Equatoria State organized by the Catholic organization for Peace and development (CODEP) of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio. The first face of workshop which is targeting youth leaders, community leaders, organized forces and county authorities brought together members representing Azande community and Balanda in the County under theme "let them all be one".
Speaking during the event, the CODEP’s director, Rev.Fr. Mbikoyo Charles noted that, the program will focus on the peace to the people of Tambura County while targeting to visit some danger zone areas with peace mission in order to restore hope of peaceful coexistence within the communities.
For his part, Hon. Mathew Mabenge, the county commissioner of Tambura County welcomed the program and encouraged the organization to continue spreading peace to the communities of Tambura County which had gone through catastrophe two years ago which resulted to loss of lives and thousands displaced.
The two days program begun with internment from both A Zande community and Balanda.
The second phase which is scheduled to be next week for two days too will be targeting for the IDPs.
