CODEP to Launch its Coordination Offices within the six Deaneries of Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio

The director of the Catholic Organization for Development and Peace (CODEP) Fr. Charles Mbikoyo has unveiled a new plan to open coordination offices in the six Deaneries under the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio.
While addressing the Wednesday’s management meeting, Rev. Fr. Charles Mbikoyo the director of CODEP said from the beginning of August the process of establishing the coordination offices will begin after offering basic training to the proposed coordinators to run the offices in the Deaneries.
“The coordination offices will be the vocal center for CODEP in those Deaneries, the offices will be coordinating the work of the Catholic organization and work in line with the policy of CODEP”, Fr. Mbikoyo said.
He added that his office, together with his subordinates staff are working at the moment to draw a budget for the training of the six pro-posed coordinators who will be drawn from all the six deaneries of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio.
The deaneries under the Diocese include;
- Corpus Christi Eastern Deanery maridi.
- Resurrection Mid -East Deanery.
- All saints Central Deanery Yambio.
- Holy Cross central West Deanery Nzara
- Holy Spirit Mid-West Deanery-Ezo
- Our Lady Queen of South Sudan Western Deanary-Tombura.
Besides championing the development work of the Diocese, CODEP operates as an independent, non-governmental, development organization in its own right with separate governance structure; registered and recognized by state and other critical stakeholders including development partners to enable majority of the people achieve highest possible levels of socio-economic development and live in a just and peaceful society
