On Wednesday 3rd October, the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio Barani Eduardo Hiiboro celebrated Holy Mass at St. Theresa Nzara Mission Hospital, to reinforce the hospital's commitment to compassionate care as their patron Saint, St. Thereza.

In his homily, Bishop Hiiboro emphasizes to the caregivers their critical role in saving lives. “Every day, you are entrusted with the sacred duty of caring for those in need, he said. “Your work is not just a profession; it is a calling to serve humanity”.

The bishop reminded the staff of the profound impact their care has on patients and their families. “You have the unique opportunity to be instruments of healing and hope. Let your compassion shine through in every interaction”, he urged.

Reflecting on the life hospital patron saint the local ordinary of CDTY noted that her dedication to serving others and her deep love for God. He encouraged the staff to draw inspiration from her life, embodying her spirit of service and commitment to helping those in need.

The prelate offered some medical materials to the Hospital as a symbol of his commitment and care for the hospital.
