Bishop Hiiboro Encourages Young People to Embrace Journaling and Record Keeping of their Lives’ Important Aspects
Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala has encouraged young people in his diocese and South Sudan at large to embrace a habit of writing and keeping records of important milestones of their lives as this could be beneficial to them and others in the future.
Bishop Hiiboro said this in his Homily as he presided over Eucharistic celebrations at Mupoi Parish during the Easter Weeks. In reference to the writings of St. Paul the Apostle, whose writings dominate the New Testament, Bishop Hiiboro said that it is important to record one’s activity, plans, progress, successes as well as challenges and keep them well for future reference.
He encouraged the Christian community and young people to keep records of important things and information about their lives as this will greatly benefit them in the future as well as the next generation.
Bishop Hiiboro said that St. Paul the Apostle wrote more books in the New Testament during his Christian life and today his letters to different people have become powerful messages of salvation to all Christian Communities throughout the world. He, therefore, challenged young people to embrace this art of journaling about their life experiences as this might be a lesson, an inspiration, or a motivation to others in the future.
At the same time, the Bishop challenged the 23 seminarians from the Diocese of Tombura-Yambio who are currently doing their philosophy studies to embrace journaling personal life experiences and lessons during this time of their formation to the priesthood as well as this will be helpful in their future ministry.
