The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio on 2nd April 2023 advised the faithful to be peace ambassadors in the Republic of South Sudan adding that, Jesus didn't come to die for earthly things but rather to save lives.

Hiiboro in his homily opined that Palm Sunday is “a reminder of the welcoming of Jesus into our hearts and of our willingness to follow him."  His Lordship Dr. Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala encouraged Christians to have a love for humanity and always to stand for justice rather than injustice.

"You see the lesson of Palm Sunday is that Jesus when he entered Jerusalem that day didn't come to establish an earthly kingdom but first the spiritual kingdom he added ".

Multitudes of people attended the Holy Mass at St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Parish Yambio where the Holy Mass started with a procession from Diocesan secretariat Curia to the cathedral with thousands waving their palms and shouting hosanna as Palm Sunday marks the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem before his crucifixion.
