  CARITAS South Sudan a charity Catholic organization in South Sudan and Shalom Christians’ Organization in separate events have reached out to Internal Displaced Persons and vulnerable community members with Agricultural tools in Western Equatoria State. . Mr. Emmanuel Wasi, who spoke on behalf of Shalom Christians’ Organization told beneficiaries that “as their mandate focuses on peace and humanitarians support, they (beneficiaries) are encouraged to work at their different capacities for peaceful coexistence throughout”.

  Ms. Berangba Sarah, who lead the team to Ezo County told the Internal Displaced Persons that the donation was an offer by CARITAS through the Bishop of Tombura-Yambio, “the diocese will continue to lobby for other supports because the need is high”, she added.

  Ezo County is an area hosting about 800,000 IDPS, CARITAS through CODEP (Catholic Organization for Development and Peace) in the first week of July carried out distribution of agricultural tools including, Pangas, Axes, racks, Hoes and seeds. Similarly, Shalom Christians’ Organization conducted distribution of food items and tents to some vulnerable community members who came from different locations.

  The two separate activities was officiated by the priests, prayers and blessings were invoked before the commencement of the distributions.
