Bishop Hiiboro Urges Civil Workers at St. Theresa Hospital to Believe in their Professions to Save Lives

The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura-Yambio on Monday 22/1/2024, urged health workers at St Theresa Mission Hospital Nzara to value their professions as God’s work citing that it is not a remote job.
Speaking in a meeting organized to strengthen the capacity of the staff of the hospital in the new year, the prelate called on the health personnel at the hospital to believe in their profession stating that, they are already implementing the work of God by caring for His people.
He urged the civil servants to follow the life of Jesus Christ by being close to the sick people and making friends with them despite the challenges they undergo.
The bishop acknowledged that the medical profession is highly touched to religious services citing that in the history of medicine, there’s the involvement of the church.
Hiiboro further expressed his love for medical workers to advising them to be strong in God and Humanity stressing that “those working in maternity sometimes may be attempted by evils when caring for a pregnant woman, be humble to ensure safety during childbearing”.
The bishop congratulated the civil servants for participating in the life the people. The meeting was concluded with prayers and blessings in Nzara hospital.
