CMMB Handsover Health Facilities to Ezo, Naandi, and Diobio Communities

The Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) on Saturday 25th August 2024 officially handed over new health facilities to the communities of Ezo, Naandi, and Diobio to enhance healthcare services in these regions, which have long struggled with inadequate medical infrastructure.
Speaking at the handover ceremony Rose Obede, Director General at the State Ministry of Health in Western Equatoria, has lauded the CMMB for their efforts in constructing new health facilities in Ezo, Naandi, and Diobio.
“The construction of these health facilities is a remarkable achievement and a testament to CMMB’s dedication to improving health outcomes in Western Equatoria," Obede said. "These facilities will provide critical services to communities that have long faced challenges in accessing quality medical care."

Highlighting the impact of the new facilities on local communities, the director general noted that the additions are expected to alleviate long-standing healthcare deficits and support the overall well-being of residents. She expressed optimism that these developments would pave the way for further improvements in the health sector across the state.
At the handover ceremony held in Ezo, the local Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) Coordinator praised the county commissioner for his efforts in maintaining security, which has facilitated the successful implementation of the project.
“We are grateful for the support and security provided, which has made this development possible”, the coordinator stated. He also extended his appreciation to the leadership of CMMB and encouraged continued support for further projects in the county.
In Naandi Payam, Boroyo Santupayama de Miseta expressed gratitude to the county commissioner for maintaining a secure environment that allowed the construction of health facilities.
The representative from Diobio, Monica Elias conveyed her community's happiness with the newly constructed facilities and the improved access to clean water. She emphasized the need for additional support, specifically requesting a qualified midwife to manage the high volume of deliveries at the newly built maternity unit. Monica also highlighted the need for more medical supplies and beds to meet the growing healthcare demands of the community.
