The Catholic Organization for Peace and Development (CODEP) will distribute vital humanitarian aid to approximately 400 households of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Tombura today, Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024. This distribution follows the recent delivery of essential supplies by CODEP, aiming to support the most vulnerable individuals residing in six IDP camps across Tombura County.

On Sunday, CODEP facilitated a significant shipment of food and non-food items, including maize flour, beans, cooking oil, salt, blankets, mats, basins, and carpets. These items are intended to enhance the living conditions of the IDPs and provide temporary shelter, addressing some of the urgent needs within the camps.

The targeted areas for this distribution include St. Mary Parish, Sherikat, Barack, the UNMISS site’s BOT camp, Complex camp, and Gamunakpe IDP camp. CODEP's humanitarian team, in collaboration with the County Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC), will oversee the distribution process, ensuring that the aid is delivered efficiently and reaches those who need it most.
