Colonel Malesh Calls for Respect and Unity in the Azande Kingdom
By Elias Ginana and Joseph Chakaya
In a heartfelt appeal, Colonel Henery Malesh Luiz, head of the Civil Defense and Fire Brigade in Western Equatoria State, has urged the community members of Yambio to pay due respect to the King of the Azande Kingdom and to embrace peaceful cohesion among all tribes within the Kingdom. His message emphasizes the importance of fostering and celebrating the diversity of every ethnicity in the region.
Mr. Colonel Malesh
Colonel Malesh, who proudly identifies as a subject of the Azande Kingdom, highlighted that his governmental role does not hinder his support for the Kingdom. On the contrary, it reinforces his commitment to promoting peace and unity within the Kingdom. He stressed that his duties as a leader and member of the Azande Kingdom are intertwined, and his efforts to build peace are a testament to his allegiance to the government and the Kingdom.
Addressing the youth, Colonel Malesh called on them to exhibit high moral standards that strengthen their character and contribute to the unity of all ethnic groups within the Kingdom. He urged them to work diligently and uphold the values that bond the community together, fostering a common ground for development and harmonious living.
Colonel Malesh pointed out that the Azande Kingdom, like other kingdoms in Africa and around the world, is revered by its people. The Kingdom's activities, he noted, have a unique ability to attract visitors and encourage non-kingdom tribes to collaborate for the greater good.
He further emphasized that true leadership and citizenship are reflected in the respect citizens show to one another. Such respect should extend to all who live under the noble leadership of the Kingdom, without any behaviors that undermine the indigenous values and traditions that are central to the Kingdom's identity.
In his concluding remarks, Colonel Malesh warned the youth to take the lead in giving maximum respect to themselves and their Kingdom. He made this passionate call during an exclusive interview with Anisa FM Radio at his residence in the Napere residential area in Yambio.
