CDTY Donates Recreational Kits to Anisa Nursery and Primary School

The Organization of Women and family under the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio donate some re-creational kits to the pupils of Anisa Nursery and primary school.
The distributed items include skipping ropes, mates, cheese, dominos, Manila paper, football, drawing books, T-shirts for teachers and netball.
In an exclusive interview, Veronica Honey Michael Manager for women and family Organization said, the items are parts of her organization support to schools that are found in conflict affected areas, she added that the organization will continue to lobby for more support to help school children hence creating a good environment for better learning.
Madam Cheiku Susan the acting head mistress of the school congratulated the Organization for supporting the newly opened school with the sport material.
Suzan urged the teachers offering lessons at Anisa Nursery and Primary school not to give up but to continue rendering their services to the vulnerable pupils who were affected during the conflict.

In the other hands, the pupils learning at the school appealed for more support especially scholastic material.
Anisa Nursery and primary school, is a newly established school at Ikpiro residential area with the aim to reduce burden on children who reside in the area as they cover long distance to access learning institutions.
Ikpiro residential area was hit hard by the 2016-2017 clashes between the government and the opposition; as a result the conflict destroyed most of social fabric including schools and health center which was around the area forcing the children living in the area to travel long distance in search of learning institutions.
The school that was established in April this year has 810 pupils with 7 full time teachers and 2 part times teachers and the school lack enough and proper building to facilitate learning activities.
