Bishop Commissions construction of Eight Classrooms in Maridi
The bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala has laid the foundation stone for the construction of eight {8} classrooms at our lady of Fatima Catholic Parish Marid.
Speaking during the event, Bishop Hiiboro said that prayers and hard work are key towards achieving the goal of successfully constructing the targeted classrooms for the school.
The Bishop encouraged the pupils not to shy away from taking part in manual work even as they strive in other fields of education including reading and writing as these will enable them to know how to express themselves in the public.
He urged parents to be close and support their children in their quest to achieve academic excellence. At the same time, he asked the parents to support the teachers and work closely with them in order to help the children. In addition, he advised the parishioners to own the school.
Bishop Hiiboro encouraged the citizens of the defunct Amadi state to remain focused on matters that promote development in the county despite all the challenges they might be currently facing. He said that Maridi is a unique area for development.
The bishop concluded his speech by appreciating and urging the people to remain united and work together for the betterment of the school while reiterating his commitment to visit the place frequently.
The parish pastoral councils who were present during the event welcomed the bishop’s idea citing that it will improve the learning system.
