Director of Good Shepherd Peace Centre says, Covid 19 has Limited Center’s Activities
Sr. Scholasticah Nganda, the director of Good Shepherd Peace Centre Kit Rajaf in Juba, South Sudan has said that Covid 19 has limited most of the center’s activities due to the global ban on gatherings.

Sr. Nganda however expressed that despite the COVID 19 restrictions they were able to do maintenance for the Centre since they took over management in May this year and have had some few sisters who come for retreats as well as hosting the African Sister Education Collaborative (ASEC) training.
Speaking to Rurugene Online News Correspondents, Sr. Nganda revealed that they are working as a team and their intentions of coming to South Sudan are not only to run the Centre but to do more pastoral works citing that they have been setting down more plans for next year.
Sr. Nganda mentioned that they are looking forward to receiving more groups that have promised to come to the Centre once the government uplift restrictions on movement and gatherings as the Centre remains open to any group of people interested in hiring the venue while maintaining the catholic social teachings.
She appreciates the security in the area and friendly neighbors. At the same time, she expressed gratitude to all their donors, financial supporters, Religious Superiors Association of South Sudan, Bishops Conference of South Sudan, and Sudan and the previous teams headed by Fr. Paulino.
Fr. Christy John CMF, a Claretian missionary from Sri Lanka who is currently the current Center’s administrator revealed that their mission in South Sudan is to build strong pastoral teams at national and diocese levels all over the country and that their programs will kick off by next month.
Both Sr. Scholastica Nganda, a Sisters of Mercy from Kenya and Fr. Christy John MCF-Claretian Missionary from Sri Lanka are members of Solidarity mission South Sudan
The religious team applauded the initiative taken by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura Yambio His Lordship Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kusaala for exposing them and the activities of the Centre.
