Bishop Hiiboro Arrives in the Eastern Deanery for a Pastoral Mission

His Lordship, Dr. Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala, bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio (CDTY), arrived in the Eastern Deanery at Don Bosco Catholic parish maridi county of Western Equatoria State on Wednesday afternoon for a week-long pastoral mission. The journey spanned 78 miles, and parishioners and students from Catholic schools in the region warmly welcomed him.
Addressing the pupils and community members who gathered along the roads to greet him, Bishop Hiiboro emphasized the vital role of education in driving development, especially in remote areas. He encouraged the children to embrace their education as a tool for transformation and to become ambassadors of positive change in their communities.
