BISHOP HIIBORO ORIENTATIONS – Faith does not eliminate questions. But faith knows where to take them
BISHOP HIIBORO ORIENTATIONS –
N.0024/BHO/023
Beloved have a Blessed Lenten week!
Let us start right here
What a beautiful, challenging Lenten program!
Let us strive each day for the remainder of Lent not to judge or condemn; to forgive and tell others that they are forgiven; and to do one daily act of generosity.
What transformed people we will be by Easter!
&
please be extremely slow to pass judgment on others
Going through the gospel of today Luke 6:36-38, can I remember times when I heard people gossip about me, with no understanding of why I behaved as I did?
Can I remember times when I leaped to judge others without knowing the whys and wherefores?
Remember the Sioux prayer:
‘May I never judge another until I have walked in his moccasins.’
allowing myself to think for awhile
Looking back over the past 24 hours, can I see where I may have judged somebody?
Where, over the same period, have I given less of myself than I could have – whether at home or work?
Looking forward to the next 24 hours, how might I do things better?
Let me pray here
Lord, keep me from jumping to judgment.
You alone know all that is in my heart and in the hearts of those I am tempted to condemn.
Faith does not eliminate questions. But faith knows where to take them.
Do pray and work for Justice for all!
Do have a blessed week and a fruitful Lenten Season, Amen!
Baira Bandaroni du!
