On Wednesday 1st March 2023, the CDTY Health Services Coordinator, Dr. Dasiko Bati Camillo, announces the coming of the six eye specialist doctors in Western Equatoria. Today Monday 6th March 2023, Fr. Avelino the Parish Priest of Ave Maria Ngboko Catholic Mission (Rii-Yubu), confirmed that the “eye operation has started with 39 patients from Tombura and 42 from Ezo”.

On Wednesday 1st March 2023, the CDTY Health Services Coordinator, Dr. Dasiko Bati Camillo, announces the coming of the six eye specialist doctors in Western Equatoria. Today Monday 6th March 2023, Fr. Avelino the Parish Priest of Ave Maria Ngboko Catholic Mission (Rii-Yubu), confirmed that the “eye operation has started with 39 patients from Tombura and 42 from Ezo”.
According to Fr. Albert the curate (Assistant Parish Priest) of Ave Maria Ngboko Catholic Mission (Rii-Yubu), “Yesterday they screened patients in Tombura and selected 28 for operation. Today, Monday 6th, they screened more than 300 in Ezo and selected 42 for operation. Tomorrow they will start operations and screen patients here”. He continued, “we estimate that they may at the end operate 80 to 90 patients. After that, this coming Sunday they will move to Nzara, where they will operate on 90 patients”, Fr. Albert narrated.
