New Director for Anisa FM Assumes the Office

The newly appointed director of Anisa radio station has resumed his office in the evening of Wednesday 27, 2022 in a hand over ceremony graced by the Vicar general for the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio.

Fr. Mathew Zaume was appointed by Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala in May this year in a series of Diocesan decrees appointing several people to different positions in some of institutions run by the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio.

In his remark Rev. Fr. Mathew Zaume called on the staffs of Anisa radio to cooperate with his new administration and work towards the slogan of the radio, my coming is to work hand in hand with the staffs at the radio to ensure the vision, mission and goal of the radio are fully achieved” he added.

“My only request is, let us love this radio and take it to the next level and the way we can do that is to work together, let us put our energy together, and when I say let us put our energy together we mean each one of us should contribute his or her skills and ability so that we achieve the objective of the radio”.   

Fr. Mathew Zaume replaced Fr. Emmanuel Mborimbuko who served the director of the radio for approximately two years.

On the other hand, the outgoing director Fr. Emmanuel Mborimbuko applauded the staff at Anisa radio for being cooperative during his tenure in the office and promised to work closely with the new director.     

 Fr. Thomas Bagbiowia, the Vicar general at the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio equally called on the staff of the station to exhibit mutual cooperation with the new director. The vicar general credited the work Anisa radio does that transform the lives of the community.   

Anisa radio is a Catholic radio station that was established in 2011 with sole objective to evangelize the Christian community in the Diocese. The mission statement of the radio station is to reach out to people of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, Western Equatoria State with a means of communication and information that builds peace through reconciliation and healing. To contribute to the unity and spiritual welfare of the people through good information and civic education, which foster integral human development and respect for human rights, paying special attention to the illiterate Class/grass root and the Vulnerable groups.

The vision statement of the station is to have reconciled and peaceful Society, built on human and spiritual and rooted in honesty and justice and helping the community to be fully developed in all aspects of human life.
