Choir members from St. John Bosco Chapel pays courtesy visit to Bishop Hiiboro, terming their visit “God’s Blessing”
Choir Members of St. John Bosco Chapel, under St. Mary Nzara Catholic Parish on June 7, paid a courtesy visit to Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, and had discussions with him where they shared ideas on the development of the Chapel and strategic actions that can be viable.
Mboriidie Henry Severio, the Chairperson of the Chapel express that their visit to the Bishop was very successful and indeed a blessing as they were able to deliberate and share vast ideas with the Bishop while they also received his advice, encouragements, and blessings.
He said that their visit was in following the diocesan directives from the Bishop which required choir members to work more on initiatives and ideas that promote developments and self-sustainability as well as self-motivation while working hard to improve on both their spiritual and social life.
“We felt great because, upon our visit, we presented to the Bishop what we have done among as the choir members. We have managed to conduct Humekodabe (fundraising) to enable us to buy musical instruments such as piano and modern drums from Juba; this was successful and we now have the instruments,” Severio expressed.
Sterina Kleona, the chair lady of St. John Bosco Chapel expressed gratitude to Bishop Hiiboro for being more accessible to both choir members and the Christians. She said that the Bishop has done a lot to support them, including donating two electronic guitars, mics, and stands.
The choir members during the visit presented to the bishop farm produce as gifts to signify their love and honor for their church.
Bishop Hiiboro advised the choir members to work devotedly towards building their faith and also their social lives not forgetting being charitable to less fortunate members of their communities.
He prayed over them and blessed them asking them to be ambassadors of Christ throughout their entire lives. Over the years, many youths and other devotional groups from different Parishes in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio have decided to support their church locally with whatever little they can provide.
