God’s Language is Loud Enough to be Understood and is Easy to be Captured, Bishop

Eduardo’s Message on the Day of Pentecost

By Sr. Henriette Anne (FSSA)

Pentecost Sunday is always celebrated on the 50th day after Easter Sunday. It is a day that Christians commemorate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. On this day Bishop Eduardo Kussala the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura Yambio reminded Christians the language of God is “loud enough to be understood and is easy to be captured”.  “On the day of Pentecost the disciples were able to listen and understand the language of each other despite of them being from different communities.

“The amazing thing here is that God’s language is simple, can be understood by all, it’s a language of peace, forgiveness, the language of unity, tolerance, patience, the language is loud enough to be understood and is easy to be captured” he explained”, “this language is so interesting  and His message was being spoken and His people were able to here, this means that in our own structure set up we are called to speak to each other in a language that we can all understand.

Bishop Kussala underscored that the celebration of Pentecost day was for the Jews to celebrate the harvest of their crops in thanks giving and us a remembrance of the deliverance of the commandments to Moses for the people of Israel but for us, he continued, Pentecost in a way is a special day when Holy Spirit came in fulfilment of the promises of Jesus Christ Himself” to his Apostles and believers.

Referencing on the book of the Acts of Apostles chapter one and two, the prelate insisted that the scripture reminds us how Christian’s community is build up therefore we have a tasks of going out and spreading  the good news we have received from Christ through the Holy Spirit.

Bishop Kussala explained that the” Holy spirit is a live, is with us therefore we get out of your office family, wherever you are and move out with that good massage”. He also confirmed 253 candidates from two parishes and reminded them that to be Holy, “let your mouth be clean”.
