Over thousands Christians joyously have witnessed and participated in the sacrament ordination of seven young men four into priesthood and three into deaconate for the service of God in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio in South Sudan and for the whole mother Catholic Church on June 3rd 2022 the day Africa and Uganda celebrates the Uganda Martyrs, at St. Josphine Bahkita Parish.

Bishop Kussala in his homily during the service invites the young men to ask themselves what are they bringing for the people of God that they are going to work among them, insisting that  “deaconate is service that request one to serve others with passionate and bring them closely to God.

He urges the ordained ones to “put the love and Gospel of Christ at the Centre of their lives and people should feel humble services. The entire Christians do not need the academic credentials but Christians are much needed of the services offered when one is called to serve God in others”.

Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro said, Priesthood is an ordained ministry that does not encourages one to possess earthly riches but be an answer and be for Christ and gospel proclamation. Civil authorities should work in partnership with the servants of God.
