St. Mary Mother of God Parish is abuzz with celebration as members of the Legion of Mary commemorate 100 years of the movement's presence in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio.
The festivities began to take shape on Thursday, as hundreds of participants arrived, bringing excitement and a spirit of fellowship.
On Friday evening, Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala officially opened the centenary celebrations with a solemn blessing, inspiring the faithful as they reflect on the movement’s legacy.
The event will culminate on Sunday, October 13, 2024, with a grand Holy Mass, honoring a century of prayerful service and unwavering commitment to the Church and its mission.
