In a heartwarming visit that highlighted the significance of education rooted in faith, Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura-Yambio (CDTY) celebrated Mass with students of Don Bosco Secondary and Primary Schools in Maridi County on October 17, 2024. The event, attended by students, teachers, and members of the local community, was filled with uplifting messages aimed at nurturing a love for learning among young people.
During his time in Manguo, Bishop Hiiboro emphasized that education is not only a pathway to personal growth but also essential for community development. He urged students to embrace education wholeheartedly, emphasizing that knowledge is a key tool for shaping a better future. Drawing from the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Bishop encouraged students to embody values such as compassion, discipline, and perseverance throughout their academic journey.
Bishop Hiiboro also met with teachers, acknowledging their critical role in molding the next generation despite the challenges the country faces. He expressed deep appreciation for their service, encouraging them to continue imparting knowledge and shaping minds with dedication and hope.
