Bishop Hiiboro sent his condolence to the family and friends to the late Dr. Samson Wasara.

The bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio has sent his condolence message to the family of late Don, Dr. Samson Wasara who died on Tuesday December 29, 2020 in Sudan’s capital city Khartoum.

Bishop Hiiboro sent his condolence to the family and friends to the late Dr. Samson Wasara.

In his message, Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala described the late professor as a great researcher, honesty and visionary leader who worked tirelessly towards education adding that when such great person dies there has to be plans for the continuation of their legacy.

Bishop Hiiboro encouraged the young people of South Sudan to get into the field of researchers in order to study things in depth. At the same time, he called on all citizens of South Sudan to not give up on education because that is the only way to move forward.

At the same time, the Bishop advised the family and friends of the late professor to be committed towards completing all documents that the late Don whom he described as a man of integrity worked on so that people can be able to benefit from them.

Dr. Samson Wasara has been undergoing treatment in Khartoum since November 2020. Until his untimely death, he was the deputy secretary of National Dialogue. He was vice-chancellor of the University of Bahr-el-Ghazal since 2014.

According to his family, Professor Wassara died in his 70s. He a Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science at the University of Juba before he being transferred to Wau as Vice-Chancellor. His research work covered conflicts, security, hydro-politics, state-building, and governance.
