Condolences to the People of the Archdiocese of Juba, and the Bereaved Family Members of the Late Most Rev. Paulino Lukudu Loro, the Archbishop Emeritus of Juba
I have learned with great shock and sorrow, the demise of the Archbishop Emeritus of Juba, Most Rev. Paulino Lukudu Loro, which occurred on Monday, April 5, 2021, in Nairobi, Kenya where he had gone to seek medical intervention following an accident he had in Juba.
We accompany his soul with prayers knowing that God has called him on this special day when the world was celebrating the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, a feast the Late Bishop celebrated all his life.
The death of Archbishop Emeritus is a sad one for us because he was an elder among us and having elders in the Church means a lot of richness. He is one of the long-serving Bishop in the country and he did his best to consolidate faith, hope, and trust in his people. As a result, we will greatly miss him and we pray that the Good Lord may grant him eternal life and that the work he did may continue for the wellbeing of the people of Juba Archdiocese and South Sudan at large.
He worked in my diocese, the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio as a parish priest in Nzara Parish and he did a great job there and we thank him a lot for his contribution towards building the Kingdom of God among God’s people in Nzara.
May his death unite the priest and the Bishops of the Archdiocese of Juba together with the faithful so that there may be one strong, united Catholic Archdiocese of Juba.
On behalf of the clergy and the faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, I send our sincere condolences to the people of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba, to the Archbishop of Juba Most Rev. Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla together with his auxiliary Rt. Rev. Santo Loku Pio Doggale, the Clergy and Religious men and women of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba as well as the family and friends of the Late Archbishop Lukudu.
Eternal Rest Grant to him Lord, Let perpetual light shine upon him, may his soul rest in peace. Amen
