IDPs in Ezo appeal to the Visiting American Priest for more Farming Tools

The Internally displaced persons who fled from conflict in Tombura and now sheltering in Ezo County, are appealing for more farming tools and seeds from the visiting American priests in the Diocese of Tombura-Yambio.
The IDPs made the appeal on Tuesday 26, 2022 during the visit of Rev. Fr. Jerome Raneck visited the camp to see living condition of the IDPs and pray with them.
According to the IDPs they cannot depend only on the meager food assistance they get from the humanitarian agencies but requested well-wishers to supply them with more farming tools and seeds so that they can be able to cultivate and produce their own food.
They also appealed for teachers’ motivation for effective teaching for their children, the DPs called for support to health workers who are said working on voluntary bases in the area.
Rev. Father. Raneck arrived in Yambio from America last week on an invitation from Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala. Fr. Raneck upon his visit toured several learning institutions under CDTY including some Parishes of the Diocese.
While talking with the IDPs, Fr. Raneck gave massage of hope saying “his purpose for the visit is to interact with Christians in the Diocese and pray with them”. He assured the IDPs of supplying them with farming tools, seeds and other humanitarian aids.
"My coming here is to retored hope in you and to tell you that God is always with you. Let's keep the hope in God he is all above all situations. I may announce to you that soon you will receive some humanitarian aid, now on the way coming to you", he said.
An American Catholic priest visited Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio (CDTY), toured various learning Institutions under the Diocese. Rev. Fr. Jerome Raneck arrived in Yambio on Thursday 21, 2022 and was warmly received by a number of priests at Yambio airstrip.
Rev. Jerome has been in Yambio to see the pastoral activities in the Diocese, the love of faith of Christians and to pray for peace in South Sudan and Western Equatoria State.
The America Catholic priest paid courtesy visit to various learning Institutions under Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, which included Abangite College of Science and Technology, St John Paul the II College of Philosophy, Senior Seminary at Maingbangaru and St John Catholic University.
He also paid a visit to mid-east Deanery and was warmly welcome by the Christians there.
Speaking shortly to Rurugene News later, Father Charles Mbikoyo the director of the Catholic organization for development and peace (CODEP) said the America priest arrived in the Diocese based on an invitation from Bishop Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kussala, the Bishop of the Diocese of Tambura Yambio.
The director of CODEP said the visitor, is also expected to visit Ezo Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) settlement site and see for himself the living condition of the IDPs as part of his mission in the Diocese.
This is the third time Rev. Father Jerome Raneck is visiting the Catholic Diocese of Tombura Yambio, in 2006 and in 2012 he came to attend centenary celebration in the Diocese.
