Floods in Ibba County, Western Equatoria are alarming, says the Director of Blending Community Service
Francis Wuodopai Francis, the executive director of Blending Community Service has called upon well-wisher to extend a helping hand to citizens of Ibba County who are currently affected by the ongoing floods, citing that floods from the county, unlike from other parts of South Sudan, is unique because water is coming from underground.
He said
that they did a survey on the situation in collaboration with UNICEF, and the findings indicate that locals from Ibba are at a high risk of getting infected by waterborne diseases.
Francis further said that
the flooding has caused some people to flee from their homes as structures have been destroyed. Some of the displaced people are currently taking refuge at ECSS church while others are staying in the neighborhoods on higher grounds.
