Bishop Hiiboro Launched CDTY Farm Project in Uganda to Sustain Liaison Office in Kampala
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala on Saturday 8th October launched CDTY farm project in Luwero in Uganda. This came after the Bishop bought a piece of land in Luwero for farming purposes, the land will be utilized to produce food to sustain the diocesan house and liaison office in Kampala.
Fr. Mathew Zaume blessed the farm and Bishop Hiiboro launched the project in the presence of CODEP Director, Anisa Radio Director, Fr Diko and Dr Tadeo who is the farm manager.
The Bishop named the farm St. Tadeo CDTY farm, for now they have 5 acres of planted maize. The dream is to expand the farm and introduce piggery, poultry and banana plantations projects.
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro has been advocating for quality production of Agricultural produce in Western Equatoria both for consumption and for commercial purposes since the Diocese is located in the greenbelt region of South Sudan and is blessed with sufficient rainfall and abundant fertile land that is capable of producing all types of food.
