SCIAF Organization pays an official visit to CDTY.

The Scottish Catholic International Aid organization visited the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio on Tuesday 18th, October 2022 to assess the activities that are being carried by the Diocese which can correspond to the vision of their organization as well as to know where to Aids in.
Speaking during a meeting with board members of CDTY in curia, the director of SCIAF organization caritas Scotland Mr. Austair Dutton said that they are working in Eight (8) countries but six (6) countries are in Africa and South Sudan is one of them.
He further said, “they have worked in South Sudan for a long period of time particularly in Yei Diocese and have currently extended their donor activities and supports to Mundri which is part of Western Equatoria State and they have four (4) to five (5) years plan of working in South Sudan”.
Mr. Austair Dutton lastly stressed that they work in Emergencies, offering long term projects like lively hood, Agriculture, structures to secure life, to keep security and as well as supporting their partners to overcome poverty.
The SCIAF organization victors took a tour around the Diocese to visit some places like Ikpiro and Ngarangba where the IDPs and the vulnerable people are, they also paid a visit to the agriculture site called SARD Institute at St. Augustine parish.
The Scottish Catholic International Aid is also a development Agency of the Catholic Church in Scotland which was founded in 1965 with the mission of enabling the poorest to lift themselves out of poverty and work together to protect their common homes, help people recover from disaster and inspire people in Scotland to put their faith into action.
