“I would like to wish the Christian Community of CDTY and the entire people of South Sudan the blessing, joy, and happiness of the immaculate conception of our mother Mary”, these were the opening remarks of Bishop Eduardo as the Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In his message, he noted that the feast of Immaculate Conception is a celebration of the salvation of humankind “this is a celebration of the salvation of humankind after the love of God because of His dream for humanity,” he continued “He created that possibility and open away for us by preserving one His creatures, the Virgin Mother of God intact from any corruption and sin,” he narrated.
He also said that through Mary as one person, many possibilities have been opened for all of us by the salvation which began by our Lord Jesus Christ who was born of the Virgin Mary.
“The Feast encourages us to look beyond our limitedness, sinfulness, that God has already made us to share his divinity, in his Holiness, let us take this celebration to move forward from state of sinfulness to holiness of life,” Bishop said.
“Wishing a happy feast to all priests who were ordained and sisters who made their first profession on this day, I congratulate all of them one by one.”
The Solemnity of Immaculate conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated on 8th of December every year.
