"Holy Rosary Saved me", Says Hon. Zingifuaboro Daniel

Greetings and Blessings to all of you!

One of the most beautiful and powerful devotions in our Catholic faith is the Rosary. In the Catholic Church, the Rosary is one of the most cherished prayers. For Catholics, it is a powerful prayer of intercession to the Blessed Mother.

Why is praying the Rosary important? In praying the Rosary, our faith is strengthened; it helps us to resist evil; it helps us to grow spiritually, and most importantly it helps deepen our relationship with Mary, our Mother.

Daniel Esibon Zingifuaboro escaped christian persecutions by radical Muslim government in Khartoum into Ethiopia by foot in early 90s! He personally narrated to me that he with his colleagues were captured by angry Ethiopian soldiers who had suffered losses at hands of Sudanese Islamic armies! The soldiers after torture were now leading at an order into the bush, obviously beyond doubt to be killed!

Many people have survived and have meaningful life! Please pray the prayer of Rosary!

From nowhere Daniel said, "I pulled my rosary from the pocket and began to recite, every second my voice was getting louder and it an interval l would sing; what a friend we have in Jesus" this made Ethiopian soldiers to stop and asked if l was a Christian, and l said yes; ... immediately he left us and went to consult with his leaders; thus we were freed and escorted to Ethiopia" Holy Rosary saved me with my 5 colleagues!

The purpose of the Rosary is to help keep us mindful of principal events in the history of our salvation.

The mysteries of the Rosary are based on the events in the life of Jesus and His Mother….and praying the Rosary draws you and me, all of us, deeper into these mysteries.

The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. We also celebrate the Feast of the Holy Rosary on October 7th.

I invite all of you to join me in praying the Rosary every day during the month of October, asking our Lady to bless our diocese, State, and nation and bring healing to our Church and the world.

If this has not been a part of your spiritual practice, perhaps this month is a great time to begin a daily Rosary devotion.

Mary will bring us many blessings.

Most importantly, she will lead us in prayers to Jesus. Do pray for peace and justice!

Keep your rosary ever close to you every time and learn to say prayers with it!

God Bless You All,

By, Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala
