Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio has advised Children in Tombura county of Western Equatoria state to distance themselves from personal interest to embrace each other with love and unity in order to grow strong.
Hiiboro says it is important for children to know that people are helping each other with acts of courage and kindness while calling on children to always remind their parents of the danger of conflicts.
He encouraged parents to teach their children to help and serve, model humility and tell them how to reconcile adding that children deserve and need to live in an environment that prevents violence against them, and is ready to respond with love.
The prelate reveals that many children and their families, especially in conflict-affected areas, are exposed to a bad environment which sometimes affects the reasoning of children.
The Catholic Bishop was speaking to children in Tombura County South Sudan Western Equatoria state on 23rd December 2022 after general cleaning at the cemetery where he paid tribute to the departed souls during the tribal conflict in the area.
