His majesty King Atoroba Rikito Peni, in his first address of 2023 has called on people within the Azande Kingdom to embark massively on commercial farming to alleviate hunger and poverty in the Kingdom.
“Farming is paramount in 2023 for everybody, plant cash crops for you to generate money, make sure you embark on commercial farming so that you can have enough food and sell the surplus for your basic needs”, Atoroba stated.
He added, it’s the responsibility of the kingdom to push people to farm and produce enough food to ensure that the Kingdom together with the people who live within the Kingdom have enough food.
In his speech he also promised that the kingdom and the government together with its friends will ensure that agriculture is a priority for this year.
Azande Kingdom was restored last year after 117 years since the British colonists killed King Gbudue which left the Kingdom out-of-the-way.
However, in today’s address, His majesty King Atoroba Rikito says, the restoration of the kingdom majorly lies on four pillars, which include Peace, Unity in diversity, restoration of culture and co-existence with other tribes out of the Kingdom.
