The King of the Azande Kingdom has called for cooperation and respect among the Azande people in order to strengthen the Kingdom through a mutual relationship with the government of South Sudan and other neighboring countries.

In his press release on Thursday 9th march 2023, King Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue reveals that the Kingdom is to work for peace in promoting good relationships with different tribes living within the Kingdom and across South Sudan.

“As a Kingdom, we need to strengthen our cooperation with our neighbors and the government of South Sudan, it’s because of cooperation that the Kingdom was restored, the cooperation among friends, relatives, and comrades who struggled and fought during the liberation”, the King explained.

The king confirmed that there are rules that had been set to guide the Kingdom within the year 2023 while calling other Azande interlocutors within the kingdom and from the diaspora to support the process of completing the constitutions of the Kingdom.

He added that the restoration of the Kingdom has come through because of a good relationship 117 years later after the death of the Azande monarch King Gbudue.

“You know we have come from far, there are people we knew ourselves before as we used to move in bushes and outside the towns. So, Kingdom works a lot in promoting good relationships and that is why am saying, if I didn’t meet the president of South Sudan before, this Kingdom would have not been restored, so we need to cooperate and work together”. Atoroba said.

Atoroba apologized for the inconvenience that happened during the celebration of the first anniversary of the Azande Kingdom promising that such incidents will not happen again. “Kingdom will work hard to improve things next time, I thank you for your patients and for standing strong, though things didn’t start at the time scheduled, you sat waiting patiently because of the love for your Kingdom. Thanks to you all for what you showed and I promise that such an incident will never happen again”.
