Bishop Hiiboro Consoles Sr. Jacinta Dagbaaboro Who’s Devastated following the Death of her Colleague
Monday, April 19, 2021, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala reached out to a religious sister in Nzara County who has been devastated following the death of her colleague with whom they have had long years of service.
Rev. Sr. Jacinta Daagbaaboro has been left devastated following the death of Sr. Marchella Akelle in Yambio on March 31st, 2021 and whose body was moved to Tombura Parish for burial.
Bishop Hiiboro who paid a courtesy call to Sr. Jacinta in Nzara said it was saddening to lose a strong member of the community in the diocese adding that the late Sister Marchella is irreplaceable considering her legacies which span for over 50 years, including during civil wars as well as in foreign countries where her dedicated serving benefited many.
Bishop Hiiboro promised the religious community his support and closeness during this time as they try to come to terms with the fact that Sr. Marchella is gone forever.
Sr. Jacinta Dagbaaboro lived and worked closely with the late Sr. Marchella and since Sr. Marchella passed on, Sr. Jacinta has not been to Tombura because based on the medical reports, the late Sister Marchella Akelle death was related to Corona Virus.
Late Sister Marchella Akelle was the first diocesan high-profile figure whose death was related to Covid-19.
