Famously known comedians from Western Equitoria are using their talents in form of comedy to sensitize the locals about corona virus
Daniel Bikoyo and Batrus Gali both comedians from Western Equitoria, for the past months since the outbreak of coronavirus have been acting and shooting videos about coronavirus, how it has affected the world, how dangerous it is and also what people should do to prevent themselves from getting infected with the virus.
In an exclusive interview with radio Anisa the two said that even though comedy is meant to make people laugh about the jokes, they are now using it as tool to sensitize people about coronavirus and how serious it is.
“People in the society trust us, so we believe that the way they love our jokes, they will also take the messages we give about coronavirus seriously” Danny Bikoyo said.
Batrus Gali has therefore called the community at large to be careful while advising the married couple especially husbands to be on the frontline in making sure that all the preventive measures are observed at homes.
Since the outbreak of the virus some artists in South Sudan have been producing songs about coronavirus and others producing short films on how domestic violence have increased since the STAY AT HOME slogan was introduced.
Dr. Love, Bazande King, Sweet Jay and Ambassador Koko are some of the artists from Western Equitoria who have already went a step ahead composing songs about coronavirus.
Generally, coronavirus has affected different sectors in the world and artists are among the affected, they can no longer organize any shows in public, artists are known for attracting a crowd of people.
