Bishop Celebrates 70th Birthday of Sr. Margareta Sheehan, Principal of Solidarity Teachers’ College

The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio on Monday, 8th August, in a Holy Eucharist celebration, celebrated the 70th birthday of Sister Margaret Sheehan, the principal of Solidarity teachers training college. Sr. Margaret Sheehan has been serving at Solidarity teacher training college for fourteen years.
The local ordinary, Bishop Hiiboro Kussala, calls on young people to exhibit confident and perfection in anything they do in life, in order to live longer on earth.
Bishop cited Sister Margareta who has committed herself to train more young people in South Sudan to become professional teachers and to educate the future generation of this Country, adding that Sr. Margarete’s Jubilee day, be a source of encouragement to all religious sisters and brothers here in South Sudan.
The college trains young people to become professional teachers. Yambio is the center that coordinates Solidarity with South Sudan’s Education Program for primary school teachers. Student’s benefitting from these programs come from all over the country. Solidarity Teacher Training College is based in Yambio and run by the Catholic Church.
