The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala in his general audience today Friday, April 21st 2023 said that the centenary celebration at Ave Maria catholic mission is remarkable for the faithful.
The Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio is prepared for the launching of the Centenary on 1st May 2023 on the feast day of St. Joseph the worker patron saint of CDTY.
The prelate added that, the festival is not for the physical infrastructures of the church but for the faith of the people and for us to celebrate the centenary, it has to be full of prayers and recollection to invite Jesus in our midst.
He acknowledged the presence of missionaries who left the legacy of evangelization despite challenges faced on their way to Africa, while calling on the faithful Christians to keep the faith alive by evaluating themselves always in order to live in peaceful a society.
The bishop called on all the heads of the Diocesan institutions to work collectively in order make the celebration colorful.
The closing of the Centenary will be on December 8th 2024 on the feast of the Immaculate conception.
