Deputy Director of Public Prosecution encourages young people to study Law
Justice Bilar therefore urged students to develop interest in law faculty because a country like South Sudan needs more professional lawyers who in turn will offer legal directives on every matters in the country.
The National Deputy Director of Public Prosecution, Justice David Charles Bilar has encouraged young people to consider a career in Law which he said is very beneficial. Justice Bilar who is based in Juba was on a recent tour of Western Equatoria where he met with a group of young people during a public lecture at the Curia, the residence of the Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio.
While addressing the young people during the event, Justice Bilar said Law is a discipline and across cutting program that helps in various aspects human life as it encompasses four important categories namely; constitution, laws, regulations and orders.
Justice Bilar therefore urged students to develop interest in law faculty because a country like South Sudan needs more professional lawyers who in turn will offer legal directives on every matters in the country.
He further said that different categories of lawyers are mandated to address different legal issues that might concern any individuals or institutions at any given time thus the need for sufficient legal approach to any lawful processes.
Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio during the event advised the young people to embrace every faculty including law because all those fields are important for excellent leadership of any given nation and South Sudan is not exceptional.
The Bishop expressed that youth and students must make sure they are well prepared and well informed and knowledgeable in ways through which they can contribute to the development of South Sudan in future.
Bishop Hiiboro said, young people in Western Equatoria State and other parts of South Sudan should learn to make good history for their Country.
Hon. Vosca Kumboti, a female lawmaker at the National Parliament in Juba said, she was touched and impressed to see young people in Western Equatoria State who are the future leaders giving presentations at a such public lecture. This she said defines how clearly bright the future is for them and the nation at large.
Hon. Vosca told the youth to be ready to encounter challenges on their education journey, for instance lack of school God always provide other alternatives. She said the government for instance will always be there to train the youth and help them make them informed decision.
The Public Lecture which was held on Wednesday January 13, 2021, brought young people from, Christ Youth group in Yambio, Senior Candidates from Bishop Abangite Science and Technology while the audience include, Professors from Catholic University of South Sudan St. John Yambio Campus, Priests, Major Seminarians, members of Diocesan Education secretariat and some choir members who attended the occasion at the Curia, which is the residence of the Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio.
