First Kingship Workshop to Strengthen Traditional Leaders Commence

  The first kingship workshop to strengthen traditional leaders has begun in Yambio on Wednesday at Women empowerment center.

  The workshop that involves traditional leaders and intellectuals from the kingdom of Azande, was graced by King Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue in the presence of the State governor Alfred Futuyo Karaba, government officials and UN agencies.     

  The three day workshop under the theme “Strengthening Traditional Leadership for Co-existence, Social Cohesion and Reconciliation”, also aims at explaining the administrative ways, the rule of law of the newly restored kingdom.

  Speaking at the event, King Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue says; “the kingdom was not only restored to address issues of Azande people but rather to create unity and co-existence with the diverse communities in Western Equatoria”

  King Atoroba welcomed other communities to join hands with kingdom for better development in Western Equatoria, citing the kingdom does not segregate communities. 

  The workshop saw the first exit of King Atoroba Peni from the palace since his coronation in February.
