Christians of St Mary’s Mother of God Blesses the King of Azande Kingdom during the Eucharistic Celebration

At the end of the three day workshop organized by the Azande King, Christians of St Mary Mother of God Catholic church blesses the king of Azande during the Eucharistic Celebration.
Blessing the King by the Christians was to invoke the power of God upon their King to so that he can have good leadership, success in his ministry, for peace, development, and unity in his Kingdom.
The workshop with the theme, “Strengthening Traditional Leadership for Co-existence, Social Cohesion and Reconciliation”, also aims at explaining the administrative ways, the rule of law of the newly restored kingdom.
The restoration of the kingdom and the King is to strengthen the traditional leadership, to preserve and promote the indigenous culture of South Sudanese. During the celebration, King Atoroba called the traditional leaders in Western Equatoria State to work for peace and unity of the people.
King Atoroba Wilson Peni Rikito of Azande people was crowned as a king after the death of his great grandfather late King Gbudue who was shot by British in 1905
