The King of the Azande Kingdom has announced plan to stage first anniversary of the Azande Kingdom on 9th February, citing the event will also avail to the public the council of elders who will be the strong pillar of the Kingdom in decision making.
“We are going to have cabinet, since the restoration it is me who has been working alone, nobody who have been supporting me but this time we are going to have elders who are going to be doing other works with in the Kingdom”, he explained.
Atoroba called for support to facilitate the first anniversary of the Kingdom expected in February 2023. He thanked the president of the republic of South Sudan, Salver Kiir for his support to the kingdom while urging the president to keep up supporting them.
He also urges different tribes who are not part of the kingdom to joins hands together to commemorate the day with love and unity for the development of the kingdom.
The restoration of the Kingdom was done last year Feb 9th 2022 after the death of its monarch King Gbudue 117 years later.
The king spoke to Anisa Radio on Wednesday 4th January in Yambio during his first address of 2023.
