The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura–Yambio on Friday 9, 2024 during the second anniversary of the A Zande Kingdom called for respect to the Zande Kingdom flag because it represents the entire Zande community living in Western Equatoria State.

His lordship Barani Eduard Hiiboro Kussala in his speeches to thousands of people who attended the celebration at the new palace in Bazungua, says that being a respected person does not mean lack of power and weakness but respect is power stressing people should expand this gift of respect to their various institutions and their houses as well.

He further emphasized that the flag represents the image of the people and therefore they should give respect to this symbol because it represents peace and unity in the Kingdom.

The second anniversary of the A Zande Kingdom was marked with the raising of the Kingdom’s flag and the laying of the foundation stone for the new palace in Bazungua Payam – 7 kilometers east of Yambio town.
