BISHOP EDWARDO HIIBORO ANNUAL APPEAL
Over the past Seven years, Hume-koda-bee has been trying to make a significant impact in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio for the cause of faith. We have seen God’s Spirit work in the incredible ways. We have had the privilege of helping people to mature as disciples of Jesus. Using our gifts, talents and resources, we have been able to share the good news of Christ locally and throughout the Diocese. We are honored to be your priests and have the opportunity to serve alongside you in ministry as we work together to advance the kingdom. Through your serving and giving you have helped grow and sustain this church. I thank God daily for your willingness to partner with us as we seek to fulfill the vision He has given to us!
As we look to the future, I believe that God’s greatest plans are still ahead of us. We believe in a time and place of great spiritual opportunity – there are countless people in our communities who have not personally experienced the grace of God or entered into relationship with Him. Everyday people walk through our doors searching truth and hope. We have always tried to be a place where they discover truth and become filled with hope that impacts generations to come. Looking to the future, we know that responding to these God-given opportunities will require some sacrifice from each one of us. In October, we will be asking you to join with HUMEKODABEE as we commit to our project funds campaign, Hume-koda-bee (the power of joint hands). We are asking you to make a financial and material commitment over and above your regular parish giving for the coming years. The goal of the campaign is to position us better for the future that we believe God has planned for us.
Please take time to read through this material and join me in praying for the success of this campaign. More specially, I ask you to pray about what God would have you do. Our success will require prayer, faith, sacrifice, acceptance and commitment. So many of you have been giving and sacrificing greatly in the past for the existence of this diocese. Thank you!
