Government and Community ought to be Responsible for the newly opened eye clinic, says Bishop Hiiboro
Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura-Yambio His Lordship Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala has appealed to the community and the State government to join hands and own the newly established modern eye clinic in Nzara County and ensure that its proper functionality.
In his appreciation massage to individuals who played different roles during the launching of the modern eye clinic, which was held on Saturday 27th November, Barani Hiiboro said that although the health facility has been established by the Catholic Church, government and the community have roles to play to ensure its effective functionality.
The Bishop expressed that there is a need for the community, the administration of the health facility, and the government to work together in order to make the facility become mere effective; not just in Tombura-Yambio but in the whole of the Republic of South Sudan.
Barani Hiiboro also said that the modern eye clinic has come as a result of good relationships with friends around the world who felt the need to prevent blindness among community members.
He expressed that the State government has been more supportive of the establishment of an eye clinic in Nzara adding that the visit by the vice president for the service cluster was an encouragement for the people of Western Equatoria and the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio.
The Bishop made these remarks in his appreciation message sent on 30th November to individuals who played different roles at the launching of the modern eye clinic in Nzara County.
